We made it to Baton Rouge last week, and we had a good bit of things going on, so it has taken a minute to get settled. I think this week we will be able to get into our routine.

We attended the Tulane football game on Saturday against University of South Alabama. It was great, and many thanks to our friends Diego and Anna for bringing us along. I had not been in the stadium at Tulane yet, so it was great to see a game there.

It got me thinking back to what it would have been like had we had that stadium when I was there 30 years ago. In all my time at Tulane I always lived on campus. So Saturdays would have been a blast being able to tail gate and go to the game within a 5-minute walk. Very different experience than going to games in the Superdome.

The two CrossFit gyms I go to have very different vibes, but I like both of them in their own way. It always takes me a second to adjust when we move between places, but I’m hoping to get 4 visits in this week and get that consistency going. Maybe I will be able to drop in to a CrossFit gym in Madrid in a few weeks, that could be pretty cool.

This week is the LSU game at Ole Miss, and Baton Rouge is kind of losing its mind about it. They are all aboard the Lane train here, for better or for worse.

I do plan on using the blog to record our trip to Spain in a few weeks. It won’t be quite as involved as our trip to the Alps a few years ago, but we are in store for some pretty cool things as we move around Spain.
